Summary: Diablo 2 Resurrected Season 16 brings major equipment changes,Diablo II: Resurrected Runes with the Eternity Runeword emerging as one of the biggest winners. It can now be created in bows and other missile weapons, gains increased attack speed and enhanced damage, and offers new possibilities for Bow Amazons, Barbarians, and Druids. Lava Gout and Veil of Steel also receive valuable upgrades that could reshape physical damage builds.

Eternity Runeword: A New Weapon Option for Bow Amazons

The biggest change coming to Eternity is its expanded weapon compatibility. Previously restricted to five-socket melee weapons, the Runeword can now also be created in missile weapons, including bows. This opens up an entirely new direction for physical damage Amazons.

The updated Eternity gains 30% Increased Attack Speed, while its Enhanced Damage increases from 260–310% to 300–390%. It also receives up to 297 Maximum Damage based on character level, making it considerably more attractive for high-level characters.

A five-socket Grand Matron Bow is one potential choice for a Bowazon. In the simulated setup, Eternity reaches impressive damage numbers and appears capable of challenging traditional bow options such as Windforce. However, actual performance will depend on the weapon base, character setup, attack speed breakpoints, and other equipment.

Eternity also retains useful effects such as Cannot Be Frozen, Crushing Blow, and Life Stolen per Hit. Its new +5 Revive skill provides another interesting advantage: Bow Amazons can potentially summon revived monsters to distract enemies while dealing damage from a distance.

Barbarians and Fury Druids Could Benefit From the Damage Boost

Eternity's improvements are not limited to ranged characters. Whirlwind Barbarians could take advantage of its increased attack speed and enhanced damage, particularly when using powerful ethereal weapon bases.

Options such as a War Pike, Colossus Blade, or Archon Staff offer different damage profiles. The weapon's Indestructible property also makes ethereal bases attractive, allowing players to benefit from their higher base damage without worrying about durability.

Fury Druids are another potential winner. Their fast melee attacks can make good use of Eternity's damage bonuses, buy Diablo II: Resurrected Items while its Cannot Be Frozen effect frees up equipment slots that would otherwise be dedicated to cold immunity.

The +5 Revive skill also creates additional build flexibility. Players may be able to rely less on traditional summon investments and put more points into skills such as Hurricane or Oak Sage. However, weapon swapping removes the summoned creatures, so players must consider their battle preparation carefully.

Lava Gout and Veil of Steel Offer More Build Flexibility

Lava Gout receives one of the most practical improvements in the update. Its chance to cast Level 10 Enchant on striking increases from 2% to 5%, while Half Freeze Duration is replaced by Cannot Be Frozen.

This makes the gloves particularly interesting for physical attackers. Enchant improves Attack Rating, helping melee characters land hits more consistently. The additional Cannot Be Frozen effect also means players can reconsider using Raven Frost and potentially choose rings with more offensive or defensive benefits.

Veil of Steel receives another substantial upgrade. The unique Spired Helm gains +2 to All Skills, 15–25% Physical Damage Received Reduced, and 20–40 Magic Resistance. These bonuses make it a strong defensive option for characters that need additional survivability without sacrificing skill levels.

Bow Amazons could especially benefit from this combination. Their damage output can be impressive, but they often struggle with survivability. Veil of Steel offers useful protection while preserving offensive potential.

Other Equipment Changes Worth Watching

Several additional items could become more attractive during Season 16. The Atlantean gains up to 300% Enhanced Damage, bonuses to Zeal and Attack Rating, and reduced requirements. This could make it an interesting early or alternative weapon for Zeal Paladins.

Silks of the Victor may also find a place in early progression thanks to its improved offensive potential and additional mobility-related benefits.

Overall, Eternity, Lava Gout,Diablo II: Resurrected Gold and Veil of Steel stand out as particularly interesting changes. Their impact will become clearer once players test the updated equipment in real builds and different endgame situations.
